The pipe bowl rim was completely trashed, with a heavy cake and staining; including heavy scarring from lighter use. The rim and the top of the bowl down to the rim, that can be seen in the photo, were completely stripped and taken back to bare.
Some time was spent preparing a stain that would not only colour match the rest of the pipe but also compliment it. (The result is as shown)
The classic 'L' of a Lorenzo stem, was also recoloured.
As can be seen, the finish, on both the pipe & stem, was exquisite.
This pipe is now with its new owner, as part of a pipe smoking starter set.

I started rejuvenating tobacco pipes back in 2018, as I found some old ones in the back of a cupboard; all in need of a very good clean. I investigated pipe cleaning, in more depth, and found that as well as cleaning there were processes for sanitising, polishing and, finally, waxing a pipe, to a brilliant shine.
I realised I had found a passion for pipe refurbishment & repair, to such an extent that I have taught myself how to make even a crusty old pipe look nearly new.
Over the last five years I have progressed to such a degree that I am now regarded as an extremely competent and professional pipe restorer & repairer, in many pipe circles, both nationally and internationally.

The intricacies of repairing a pipe are complex. Some bowls are beyond repair, unless they are of sentimental value, then I will always attempt to complete a sympathetic repair. Shanks are a different story, 90% of the time they can be fixed with silver, cupro-nickel or brass banding.
